Well, it wasn't as bad as expected, that much is certain...

Pretty much, I stayed in the back and made food. Burgers, anyway... nothing else. For a first day, it wasn't too bad. Had people training me who definitely weren't used to training, but it worked fine.

Busy as heck, though... I knew that being trained on a lunch rush wouldn't be a good idea.

Actually, when you're being trained and don't really know what you're doing, special orders can ruin your day... and whatever it is you're working on. We had our fair share of special orders, and each time it messed me up... the last ten/fifteen minutes I was starting to get the hang of it. But by that time there weren't many orders left.

Yeah, the shifts do tend to go very quickly. Last summer I worked at Subway - a much different environment from McDonald's. At Subway, you had at most 5 people in the place working at a time; at McD's, we had like 12 people there, and I only saw around 4 or 5 for more than a few minutes.

See I was really bored and I thought what is this Hivemind thing, I always see there are many responses and views. This must be something cool. Boy was I wrong, I just don't get it, but I think I've gone insane reading all this non-sense.

Ok, so I am just adding to this, I don't know why I just can't help it. I must add to this thread, don't know why, something in that beer maybe or might be the shiny doorknob, I don't know.

Ok, this was a waste of time, I'll check out the next hivemind, and maybe it will be something different, I don't know, I really don't know. I am kinda scared now. I feel like a little boy in a small canister just talking to himself, knowing that people can hear him, but they don't want to let him know.
