It's a scarey book in sheer amount of utility. It has rules and options for changing all the monsters in ever monster book you own, and making them something a little different. THe rules are great, well balanced, and easy to use. On top of that each creature catagory (beast, abberation, giant, etc) has feats and prestege classes specifically for that type of creature.
Yep, I was right. Sounds like a book I would get a lot of use out of.:)

It's a book everyone can get a lot of use out of. It makes your MM something to be feared again, since the PCs will not know what the orc's powers truely are as they can be quite varied.

Woot! I definitely HAVE to get this book. It sounds so awesome I don't know if "awesome" is awesome enough to encompass its awesomeness. Or something.

Here's a question for you, o reviewy one: Who do you write your reviews for? I mean, are you trying to tell people what's in a book, or make a recommendation -- are you trying to do a capsule summary or provide a balanced viewpoint?

Or any or all or none?

I just wonder cause your reviews tend to be pretty short. Not a criticism, just an observation, and I wondered if you were deliberately writing shorter reviews or if you were just lazy.

;)

I used to give a much longer review of books going into greater depth of detail. Take a look at my review for Book of Challenges and Path of Maic for what I feel are more in depth.

I have tended to write smaller ones in hope that more people will read them. I've talked to people and while they seem to like the 1500 word reivew many skim them instead of reading them. So, I try to cover what I feel are the good and bad points while giving the reader a good idea of what to expect.

I write reviews for the sake of writing them. En World needs fan reviewers for the more opinions posted makes it a better resource for people to use.

Gotcha. No, short reviews serve an important purpose, too.

All reviewers havea style and it's important to get a few different styles in there. I just hope that my reviews help some people find the books they need.
