I have always found different library stacks interesting. Where I work we have 16 floors of cold, morgue-like bliss. I've actually had female workers refuse to go in there late at nights...Skade said:It might... I once dated a librarian, who I began talking to because I checked out a couple of Forgotten Realms books, and she was curious. She loved the books, but had never played before. Even before that I loved wandering the stacks, finding cool books I had never seen before, and gleaming something random from them.
Hmm. Skade, you do bring up a good point. I wonder if I can cancel my order...Skade said:
Yes, but can you really trust what that lotion is made from?

On a less creepy note, did anything interesting come of your meeting with this librarian?
Darn, now you tell me AFTER I've rubbed this stuff all over my skull...Steve Jung said:Hmm. Skade, you do bring up a good point. I wonder if I can cancel my order...

Ah, how interesting. You have to love how it almost seems like a prerequisite that libraries have to be under-lighted and generally creepy. It's like they design them that way. The most curious library I have every been to was in New Hampshire at Franklin Pierce College. They had all kinds of ghost stories. When it got dark, their stacks were plenty spooky.Skade said:Other than spending time in morgue like bliss? *uneasy laugh* She worked at a college library also, and though ours was ertainly not 16 floors, the building was quite old, and the upper and lower floors hardly used, and barely illuminated. Even I would occassionally get a little creeped out back there.
She was a nice girl. We saw each other casually for about two months, and she played with us for a a bit after than, but was more into fantasy than Vampire, which is what we were playing at the time.

As for the girl: It's too bad she wasn't into the Vamp thing a little more. I'm still looking for the RP scene where I'm at...

strangely enough , the nicest library I have been is the library of the Rijksmuseum in amsterdam. It s a very open , well lit room. spanning four floors, with cast iron circular staircases. and old oak, curtained shelfs. its very nice, very victorian. Unfortunately I haven't sen it at night, to see what the effect of the stainglass ceiling would be at night
