Argh! And for some reason this didn't occur to me until just now - my posts per day is shrinking, too! I've gone from over 20 to 13 in the brief period I've been on, and when all is said and done I'll probably be down to between 3 and 5...

Well, Morrus will be updating the entire boards in a few months, so that will do two things... One, set everyone's count to zero, and, two, prune all the accounts that are never used out. Kinda cool... I remember how much fun it was upgrading to this one!

We all know the truth, though.

It's amazing; already, the system is responding much quicker than it was previously. Too many long threads must slow down indexing dramatically.

I'm not sure if that's true (the resetting-to-0, not the upgrade.) We'll have to see.

I thought I'd read somewhere that updating in a few months was a pretty foregone conclusion. Guess not. [Sigh.] Moving is so much fun! (Apologies to the mods that must have to work like crazy during the switch.)

I can't believe that anyone is really going to miss their posts that much, though, P-kitty. After all, we all know that postcount means monkeys!

Look at it this way- I get to redo 1000 currently and by dinner 100. Lots of monkeys (if allowed!)

Me thinks you are getting it. From now on no post counts will accumulate based on Hivemind threads since these will be erased shortly afterwards. So once we get 'em chopped to 000, then the only postcounts that will count are those on none-hivemind (I guess).
