If I had as many voices upstairs as he does, I would've too!

did I say midterm! Argh! I can't even think straight. I meant paper due (thank God it's only 4 pages) that happens to be worth 1/4 my grade!

Darn the addictive nature of this thread! Darn it to styx!

I must admit that I don't really know what anime they are from (though they sure are pretty). :p
Any chance that you can enlighten me? :)

The anime has the same name as the manga, plus a subtitle thats mostly ignored. It's Azumanga Daioh: the Animation. It only recently concluded here on local TV, and still needs time before it will be seen in America beyond fansubs. I feel pretty certain it will be seen soon in America though, since its such a great show.

It is, to steal another show's catch-line, an "anime about nothing". The girls are just high school girls going through their time at their high school. The anime deals with their, rather amusing, triumphs and troubles there. Sakaki, for example, loves pets, especially cats, but everytime she gets near a cat, they bite her (or run away, or both). Osaka is a girl with her head in the clouds, most often focusing on her friend Chiyo's pigtails for no real reason.

I feel like I'm sort of butchering the meaning, so here's a link to a summary of the show by Animenation's John of "Ask John" fame. He explains it much better than I do.

White mages get all the good jobs... They get paid more... Bloody racist system!

But at least black mages can get into wizards' college easier!

Ah, well. I need to be up in eight hours for an exam, so I should be going. I've finished my studying, I think I'll do well, and I have a scrap of paper with which I can prove my professor wrong - so I'm happy. Yay! :)

(We argued about a point he made last week, and I don't like being told I'm wrong. So I researched it, and found out that he's wrong.)

G'night, people.
