Kudos to Tallok for his pic of Frank, and to Demiurge for his Prof. Membrane. I didn't even notice it was him until I took a closer look.
Donnie Darko is a good movie. I kinda find it odd it was picked up by Flower Films.
On the subject of depressing movies, the best one I have ever seen so far was Requiem For A Dream, starring Jared Leto (The Professional, Fight Club, American Psycho), Jennifer Connelly (The Labyrinth, Hulk, A Beautiful Mind), Ellen Bustyrn (The Exorcist, Red Dragon, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood), Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore, Dutch, Grumpy Old Men), and, believe it or not, Marlon Wayans (Dungeons & Dragons, Scary Movie, Mo' Money). It's directed by Darren Aronofsky (director of Pi and is currently in the works of a new Batman movie, supposedly) and based on the book by Hubert Shelby, Jr. Great movie, IMO. You just have to be in the mind set to really absorb it. Some people like it, some people don't. It just depends on one's tastes.
Cheers!
