[HIVEMIND] What nothing and something have in common...

some of my friends do nothing but talk about, read, or write fanfics. I can sort of understand it, but... i would rather my books/tvshows/etc stuck to one plotline.

who did she kill? :p

LOL!

Actually, with season 6 now being broadcast, I can see where most of that speculation came from! Plus, Willow must be a great character to write fanfic for, how can you not enjoy (as an author) a character with an exboyfriend and girlfriend? :D

Although I personally would rather avoid reading any stuff about Xander.

That i can understand with the slowness the books comes out

Very true. Though I nitpick so much whenever I read a Harry Potter book, I just keep thinking 'in a world with that kind of magic this situation would never occur!' It requires too much suspension of belief about human nature for me :(

 Scary. Did she have any good ideas about what happens next?

Personally, I think the next book is going to be very dark, lots of bad stuff happening all around, but finish on a high, positive note. That sets up Book 6 for a Great Quest of some kind, and Book 7 for The Final Confrontation.

Plus, Hermione is going to have to choose between Harry and Ron, and they'll be a massive falling out between the three of them over it.

I think the only fan-fic i really liked was a forty page one that extrapolated really well on Angel starting at the end of the last season. I read it during summer because i dont like watching reruns. And the weird thing is, even though the author went a completely different way plotwise, some of the really minor, inconsequential "main characters randomly talking" scenes were EXACTLY the same...

I'm able to sit back and enjoy them. Ya, they are pretty far fetched but I'm used to that from playing Whitewolf games.

Ron's going to die. Not a spoiler, a guess. Not in book five, but the end of book 6. That will really sert Harry in a Dark Place for his final confrontation with big V.
