I think I will know some more than the people from around here :)

Party:

My mom and her boyfriend got 100 together so they are celebrating. A friend of mine and me are making the food ( like we make the chistmas dinner as well )

What are satay sauce and tampanadas? I've never heard of these.

Satay or sate is a thick peanut sauce ( slightly spicy) originaly indonesian but adopted into the dutch cuisine :)

Tapanada isa olive paste, Very tasty. Esp the sun dried tomatos/olives versions :)

You’ve never had satay sauce! You’ve never really lived! Satay sauce is peanut sauce with some spices (often chilli). Very, very yummy!

I think I have had it, but I did not know what it was called. I had with spring rolls at a vietnamese place. Thick golden yellow paste like sauce with a pretty good tang? How on earth did this get adapted into Dutch cuisine? Is Dutch food usually spicy?

It sounds like a good spread though. Great party food.
