Hmm... what books should I buy?

Am I too late?

If not, I recommend AEG's Mercenaries.

If I am, get it next time.

It seems to be the most useful setting neutral d20 book in my collection.

Lots of new classes, equipment, spells, feats, and so on. A lot of good information on mercenaries. From being one to using one.

I was upset with the Mermaids in Seafarer's Handbook. They should be air breathers as well as water breathers. That's true in -ALL- of the mythologies and fiction about them.

When I asked, I was told by the author of that section that he didn't even bother to do any research on them.

FFG has shown a habit of not doing a good job on new races though... the ECL's in Mythic Races were all wrong...

Allow me to second AEG's Mercenaries. An excellent book with lots of great info be you a DM or Player. Other than that, the Relics & Rituals books are a great source for new spells (among other things). Other books that are worth purchasing; FFG's Path series, Spycraft, Manual of the Plains, Oriental Adventures, AEG's Rokguan material, FRCS, Magic of Faerun, Epic Level Handbook, Monsternomicon, Tome of Horrors, Creature Collection I Revised, If Thoughts Could Kill, Book of Eldritch Might I & II, Traps & Treachery I & II, The Quintessential Psychic Warrior, and Spells & Spellcraft.

Obviously, some of these will be more usefull to you if you are a DM, but they are all well-done.
