D&D 5E [Homebrew] Warlord as a fighter sub-class.

Manipulations are no stranger to the chromatic dragon. A purple dragon is no exception.

A support feature is not only a mechanical gizmo but it should have a reasonable narrative. I agree. But come on, the purple dragons of Cormyr got their name from wearing the scales of Thauglor, an old black dragon. The scales of an old dragon turn purplish, I guess.

Unable to follow you logic.

Black dragons do ambushes, not straight forward or group combat.

A black dragon knight might boosted a party's stealth, laid traps, helped the party escape, and be able to make poisons.

I like the basic ideas here but feel some of them would be OP. Like adding your Int bonus to ally AC until your next turn, isn't that kinda like an at-will shield spell? And the gain temp hp every round, free at will "heals"?

The AC bonus is 1 attack, OR start of your next turn. Though a higher level version that last a turn would work too. Probably 3 attacks.

And heroism also gives CHA THP (and immunity to fear) every round with concentration.

Probably should have a fear removing one too.
