Homemade soundtracks for games

Greetings from Finland!

I've fiddled around in my homestudio for a few years now and have produced most of the soundtracks I use in my games myself. I've published the songs freely on the net and thought that it would be nice to share the songs with you. If you find them enjoyable and usable, feel free to use them on your games too. Essence -project contains orchestral songs for fantasy settings (but other music too) and Divinity -project contains mellow ambient soundscapes. Here are a few sample songs:

Angel's Tear: http://www.mikseri.net/music/play.php?id=142404&type=dl
Second Awakening: http://www.mikseri.net/music/play.php?id=139293&type=dl

Essence -project: http://www.mikseri.net/artists/essence.33863.php
Divinity -project: http://www.mikseri.net/artists/divinity.34995.php

I'm also producing music for the upcoming Ultima IX Redemption computer-rpg (http://cfkasper.de/ultima/) coming in year 2006.

I just love collecting soundtracks that i could use for my campaigns~!~!~!~! :D

are these all free ?! :o

i don't suppose you actually posted the entire album on the net... :heh:

Thanks for the comments and glad to hear you like the material! :)

And actually yes, they're completely free and I haven't published any album, just put most of the material there. I have this strong vision that art (especially music) should be completely free. For me the world would be much better place if the music business as it is could be broken down. That would mean much less production but probably much more variety and idea.

So feel free to pass the material along as you like and link to the pages if you want - for me the most important thing is to be able to share the music with as many people as possible and if some of them like it, all the better.

When the Redemption -project is finished I'll publish the soundtrack also in a mp3-format, at the moment the amount of material tops 70 minutes, so I think it will be quite a nice addition to soundtrack-material also.
