Hopefully simple Ritual Caster question

I have an Eldritch Knight with the Ritual Caster (wizard list) feat.

There are 2 ritual spells on both the cleric and wizard list. Detect Magic and Gentle Repose are on the cleric list, but he never prepares them. However, they could occasionally have proven at least mildly useful. Can the cleric teach those 2 spells to me during downtime days so I can have them in my ritual book?

It's not a huge deal either way, but it would save me the price of a couple of scrolls.

I don't believe so. I think you need some place to copy it from and clerics just know spells and don't have them written down (unless they make a scroll)

As far as I can tell, no. The text of the Ritual Caster feat specifies that when the character encounters a written version of the spell, then the spell can be copied into the ritual book. The cleric doesn't write anything down, that I can see.

The cleric could make a scroll with those spells on (costs gold). The ritual caster could then learn the spells from the scroll.

While technically the cleric would need to prepare a scroll, I would absolutely let the cleric help you write them in your ritual book.

This is in the context of Adventurer's League, so not subject to DM discretion. There's a small chance of finding such a scroll in an adventure. Scribing scrolls looks to be prohibitive in terms of downtime and reduced gold cost. Just buy the scrolls, although even that option isn't extremely attractive with the meager amounts of gold available this season.
