HoS: Not-so Epic Destinies Preview

Well, the level 30 feature doesn't restrict use to "in your party", nor does it even specify that the other guardian must be, say, on the same plane. (Or known to you, I suppose...)

Good point. Once per day, the GotV can ram a dagger in his eyesocket and teleport anywhere where there is another Guardian.

Well, the Keeper of the Everflow is squarely against the Raven Queen, from the preview text.

Yeah, but that's still ABOUT the Raven Queen. Shadow is a whole plane of reality, not everything there should revolve around a single deity's shenanigans.

BTW, the only ED here I didn't write was the previewed one.

Let us hope that you have internalized the wonder of such EDs as the Thief of Legend. <3

Spending an extra healing surge in every fight of the day actually seems a bit significant, honestly.

+2 to a secondary ability score is nice. So is regen 5 while bloodied. It can be important during the fight itself, and save 1-2 surges in post-combat healing. Neither are game-breaking abilities. Neither is vital to a character.

If that was the only thing wrong with the ED, I'd find complaints about it completely unreasonable. As it is, the ED is definitely subpar - but there is nothing wrong with the level 21 ED feature itself.

Other abilities could certainly make up for a kind of meh 21st level, especially if they played off of and expanded the 21st level abilities. It's just that every single part of it is kind of unexciting, so there's nothing to cover for it.
