Especially the Daemon stuff, though it turned out like I hoped and I do like his character arc, we could have gotten there like 2-3 episodes sooner. Ultimately this season will be remembered more as an advertisement for season 3 imo than standing on its own.But.... considering the massive issue I had with GOT season 8 (and season 7 in part) just moving things forward at light speed to the point of plot insanity....I welcome a slower and more thoughtful pace. I would prefer things move a LITTLE bit faster, but if that's the two speeds I'm offered, I'll take the slower pace everytime.If I were to nitpick a scene in this one, its the Gwain and Cole scene. Just because we have had this big secret the whole season, and its gets let out because Cole sniffs a piece of fabric..... and then they just have a talk about it and that's kind of it for now. Felt weird and anti-climatic, it was just there to give Cole something to do.....which ironically is to talk about how little he matters anymore. Actually even more funny (and I wonder if it was planned this way) if you watch the making of the episode after it aires....they don't mention Cole's scene at all.
