Houston, We Have...Snow?

We currently have about 14" of snow on the ground. The problem is that every bit of it fell between Wednesday night & yesterday afternoon.

It's going to be a snowed in white Christmas this year. :)

Yes! They say it's the first snow in 10 years, but differen't people have different definitions of snow. Either way, I'm glad. :)

I live just a short drive north of Houston, and it has been a cloudy and cold day...but no snow. What part of Houston do you live in? My in-laws live in NW Houston, and they had snow. Maybe just that part of town got snow. I know my son would have been out in it had there been any of that funny white stuff around here. He is eleven, and he has never seen snow. Me...I've seen it, and I don't care for it. I like green a Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all!

We're down in Pearland.

And I seem to have spoken prematurely about the possibility of a white Christmas. The snow came back just after dark and is really coming down (by Texas standards).

I just took these shots a few minutes ago.

Since it's sticking, and the low tonight is supposed to be 25f, I think a Winter Wonderland is pretty much inevitable.

Dude, I don't know about you, but down here in Corpus Christi, Its Snowing. First ever White Christmas I've ever had. The people down here says its the most snow in over 100 years. Amazing, thats all I can say.

I live in the Heights area. But right now I'm in Chicago visiting family. So I manage to miss the first Houston snow in like a decade. And no snow here. Go Figure. 30% chance for tomorrow (xmas day) though, if you belive the freo-mancers on tv.

Hah, what's funny about this is here in Syracuse, one of the snowiest cities in the US, it's green. Cold, but green. In fact, it got to 60 degrees (F) a couple of days ago. :p

we have maybe a half foot or so here in norther Columbus. It wouldn't be bad if the plowed the roads better though. The apartment complex did a better job then some of the major roads up here.

Ah, you must be in southern Indiana?

I flew into Evansville, IN on Thursday afternoon. My parents were able to drive up from Union County, KY and pick me up *Friday* aftenroon. Fortunately, the hotel next to the airport was open. :)
