How’s the Marmoreal Tomb?

I'm a big megadungeon fan these days.

Arden Vul is amazing and ridiculously big.
Stonehell is minimalist presentation but very good. And the minimalism means it's cheap. I do suggest adding more connections to level 6 from 4 & 5.
Barrowmaze is a sweet spot in between, good art, nicely atmospheric.

I'm running all three of these (Arden Vul currently on hiatus, resuming when Barrowmaze finishes, Stonehell been going for many years) and I like them all a lot. Arden Vul and Stonehell are more complex, with various different factions.

I'm interested in buying the Marmoreal Tomb box but I have to ask one question first.

What is the amount of undead in the megadungeon? A very rough percentage in your opinion is all I need. I just finished running Barrowmaze which was undead heavy, and I can't do that again to my PC's.

The product looks great and is going quick, so if you have a chance to write me back, I would appreciate it.

No, it is not worth $135.

Even aside from the Ernie Gygax and Benoist Poire controversies and TLG having to come in to rescue it from oblivion, it is not a good product.

The writing is poorly organized (for example, in the introduction the tense changes at random from paragraph to paragraph). Rather than just presenting the dungeon, it throws a whole setting at the reader, frequently bombarding you with terms (both mechanical and fantasy gobbledygook) before it explains them.

It does have some interesting ideas about establishing the philosophical themes of dungeons, but the good ideas are buried in a whole lot of "too much."

Agreed. I got mine...after waiting however many years...and I've yet to even read it, let alone play it. Wall o' text.

I grew up reading TSR Forgotten Realms supplements that were like three columns per page of 10 point font text with very few pictures. This is not a heavy lift.
