How can someone do an Urban Arcana adventure?

It could be part of the severance package, so to speak. That would seem reasonable to me seeing as how many of them were involved in Urban Arcana and d20 Modern.

Note.. they used the d20 Modern logo on that. Apparently WOTC is approving it for official use, since that isn't even a valid logo for a normal publisher that wishes to release under d20 Modern (Without a special license you need to use the d20 logo.. and make a notation in which product to use.)

Sounds to me that there is a separate agreement between Game Mechanics (made up of Rich Redman, Stan!, and JD Wiker) and their former company who let them go, Wizards of the Coast, who are using the freelancing approach to economize their business budget.

Nothing to be alarmed about, especially when Rich Redman have been helpful on the Wizards' d20 Modern messageboard along with Charles Ryan.

It would be nice to have an official confirmation from WotC about that. And that it's an official 'Liscence' and not something of a backroom deal between a couple of employees. Because to most of us it seems that WotC are keeping a double standard.

It doesn't look like a double standard to me.

I am sure there is a seperate licensing agreement involved.

Now, it would be a double standard if WOTC consistently refused to license anyone else; but even then, they can make a pretty strong case for only wanting to grant the license to a company that they trust to carry the d20M banner, and TGM would certainly fit that bill.

They're likely licensed by WotC. After all, WotC has licensed out Ravenloft, GamaWorld, and Dragonlance. Why not Urban Arcana?

Why isn't FDP doing Urban Arcana adventures? 'Cause we never asked!*

If you're interested in supporting one of their lines, it never hurts to ask! :)

* We didn't ask, 'cause that's not really our thing. We're much more interested in supporting AU than UA! :)
