How Do I Get New Gamers?

My group of about 10 years is sadly in the process of disbanding. My town has no existing LGS that will support RPGs. The library will not allow the posting or distribution of flyers, nor will the religiously-funded private colleges. I've tried scouring the pages of MySpace and registering on RPGBomb, but my area is just devoid of gaming action.

Is there any other way to get new gamers that perhaps I haven't considered? This is my final hope before ... virtual tabletop gaming.

Try the Gamers Seeking Gamers in the top toolbar.

Or try moving.

Either one would probably work.

For a start, you need to put your location in your ENWorld profile, so that we can see where you are.

Also make sure you add your signature in each post with "Currently looking for a game in..."

Other than that, I can also suggest using Obsidian Portal - Campaign websites for Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop RPGs as it has a map showing games being run, and trying Use the Internet to get off the Internet! - Meetup.com - you can view other meet-ups for free, but you have to pay to set one up yourself.

The thing in the toolbar at the top is one option (as already mentioned) - I believe it is still in beta testing (but I could be wrong).

There is also a special ENWorld forum just for it too Gamers Seeking Gamers - EN World D&D / RPG News -- try posting an ad yourself or changing the disply criteria (at the bottom) so that you can see even older things in case something may already be posted for your area

Aside from that, my only responses are silly ones (find another gamer to mate with, spawn your evil seed together, raise it as your own personal gamer minion.... or ChiaGamer - just put your Chiadice in water, spread the packet of seeds, and watch it grow in to your own ChiaGamer! Cha-Cha-Cha-Chia!)
