How do I post pictures

How do I post pictures on this forum? I've tried putting the shortcut to the picture on attachments but it won't post it. It has to be a picture already on a website or not? I tried that but it doesn't seem to work. Do I have to have contributed money here for that power? I'm a very poor college student

Now it seems to work

You either post using the "attach file" or you can use vB Code to link an image to your message, thus - replacing the "(" and ")" with "[" and "]".
