To "humanize" them a bit I vote- Doomed and knowing it.

I voted for the Eberron version. Not because they're "necromantic baboon fetishists", but just because Eberron turns the Player's Handbook race into something I'd be interested in playing, primarily by making them Elves In Name Only.

I don't like Tolkien, so I don't have much interest in other kinds of elves.

I voted Teriyaki style. Because I am an elf hater. Why? Because I love dwarves, and the elves are a bunch of arrogant #(*!^)&@%s who steal all the glory and attention.
