How do you like your elves best?

I like to mix it up. In my homebrew, the grey elves have the doomed and knowing it, the high elves are high arcane-like, and all of them have elements of the Eberron elves.

So, couldn't vote.

I like the Eberron elves, not just the "necromantic baboon fetishists" , but the militant bedouin cavalry version (Valenar), as well.

Teriyaki style was certainly a tempting choice. Ultimately I voted Fey and Dangerous. Even better than that would have been Fey and Mysterious. Unfortunately, it's difficult to make them mysterious when they're in the PHB.

I went fey and dangerous. Almost defines the concept I am going for.

Though I did the the space alien/wolf thing. Elfquest elves do affect my image of D&D elves somewhat (especially with the idea that they are short in stature), but the backstory is definitely not D&D elves to me.

I'd have to go teriyaki style since I don't see my Elves exactly.

I would need one part Arcane, two parts fae and one part warrior-philosophers. At least that would define the largest Elven groups. For Wood Elves substitute artist/craftsman-philosophers for warrior-philosophers.

Dangerous, Fey, Leet and Medium Rare would be my choices... but seeing as Necromantic Baboon has a certain appeal, I may have to give Eberron a longer look.

Depends on the elven subrace. Your wild or grugach elves from GREYHAWK? Fey and Dangerous. Wood elves? Leet and twinky. Grey elves? Doomed and Tragic.

Varies elf to elf really...
