A bit of both for me. I probably prefer 60% roleplaying/40% hack and slash.

I'm similar to Rhun. I like lots of roleplaying, but if that's all there is to a game I get bored. Similarly, too much combat with no chance of roleplaying also bores me. I need a nice balance.

I want story, so put me fully in the RPing camp.

To have all combat, I might as well be playing chess....and though I do recall playing chess for an entire summer, I don't remember much else of that summer.

The games I've played in that had RP elements...those I remember. I don't remember the die rolls or combats...but I do remember the story.

The last option is kind of misleading. I have a friend who wrote 3 pages of backstory for his character, but during game time he likes nothing better than number crunching.
