How do you read PDFs

How do you usually read PDFs?

  • I primarily read off the screen (though I may print out sections)

    Votes: 116 67.8%
  • I usually print out the whole document

    Votes: 27 15.8%
  • Varies

    Votes: 28 16.4%

Nowadays if I like a product and it doesn't have too much background art I usually get around to printing it out eventually then putting it in either a small report cover or something larger. I find I just don't use material unless I have a printed copy of it.

On a side note I ran a similar poll some time back:

Old PDF Poll

Admittedly the sample sizes are pretty small but I wonder if the differences in results indicate a difference in the way people are using PDFs or the way PDFs are being made.

Uncomfortably.

I wish Acrobat Reader had an option to rotate the image 90 degrees, so I could turn my laptop sideways and read the full page at once.

I printed out the first PDF I bought, which I can't remember the name of - it was the print version of Pools of Radiance (the computer game), but it had a different name, Ruins of something.

It's Ruins of Adventure.

I don't buy a lot of .PDFs but when I do I print 'em out. Strangely, even though I can spend hours sitting here reading message boards, I hate reading anything long onscreen.
