Nothing against ads in general and if they are paying the bill, that's great... we all know, that this hasn't been easy in the past.

But this particular ad takes annoyance to new levels of existance.

No reason to get worked up about it, though.

Yes, it's gone for me as well. Interestingly enough, I didn't even notice it wasn't there.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It comes and goes depending on the forum I'm in.

Yep, it popped up like twice so far (...and was promptly removed upon site load completion in order to not annoy me more than necessary ).

But despite the high annoyance factor of this ad, I bought the Preview Adventure yesterday and put one Gift Set aside in my FLGS to buy in a week (cannot be sold yet, only to preorders, I guess). The books sure look pretty.

As far as I can tell, if the top bar ad is the 4e one (like right now as I type this) the side one doesn't appear; but if the top bar ad is for something else, then the 4e one appears on the side. In other words, you'll always see the 4e one somewhere, but not twice at once as was the case before.

It seems that when looking at thread lists the side ad never appears, but when reading a thread or typing a post it's there sometimes and not others, as noted above.

Has the code been written (Sunday was the date, I think) to remove it for paying members/supporters? Just thought I'd ask, as it's still showing up for me in Stealth mode.
