Sorry to break it to you. It's the latest in the line of D&D editions. It's D&D just as much as OD&D, 1E, 2E, and 3E were. It's also going to be the only currently supported edition by the owners of the brand. That's true. A lot of nice items won't be released because of the constraint. I just hope that supporting 3E instead of 4E won't do more harm than good in the long run. A LOT of people are going to be playing 4E. The mass majority of them don't post on message boards. That's great! I'm glad there'll be people supporting these guys. I'd love to as well, but they need to make 4th edition stuff in order to keep me as well as a lot of other gamers. I hope enough people support them to keep them in business so I can eventually see 4E stuff from them. Yeah, I'm not trying to say which is better for everyone. I was only saying that with all the hubbub with the GSL, I'd put it into perspective. It's simply a matter of "My group and I will be playing 4E. We'll buy supplements that support 4E. If your 3rd party company doesn't produce supplements for 4E, I won't be buying your products." Like I said, I hope enough people support them to keep them afloat. I'm just saying that I can't be one of them unless they cater to my needs as a consumer. I don't expect them to cater to me, but that's the only way they're getting my money. Chris
