How does the warlock stack up?

I picked up the complete arcane a couple days ago and I have to say that I find the warlock class really interesting, seems more like how I envisioned the sorcerer when I first heard it described than the sorcerer does.

Has anyone tried this class out in their game yet? How does it stack up, too much, too little? Given the limited amount of abilities can they manage to stay interesting? Any thoughts?

BTW forgive me if this topic has already been done, I've been away a while.
