How Easy is it to Convert d20 Modern Advanced Classes into D&D PrC?

Be my guest, Dismas... Being quoted rocks... :)

Sorry -- just what I've heard so far, a lot of the Advanced Classes sound more like D&D PrC; I've heard people kicking around things like Gunslinger and Assassin, both things I would consider "prestigous" occupations (what I think of when I think of PrC), but not Soldier or Mage (which is apparently an Advanced Class). But the progression you're proposing makes d20 Modern PrC sound like D&D 5-Level PrC, or Prestigious Prestige Classes (which is how I think of them, and usually use them). If that's the case, and the direction that WoTC is going to take, then I guess that's cool. Thanks to everyone for answering my questions, by the way -- I just realized I hadn't stated my appreciation.

I also apologize for how long it took me to get back to you all -- I caught a case of the non-posting web-browser... :)

Has WoTC said they're going to make Modern PrC as well as Advanced Classes? That sounds a little counter-intuitive. So -- one would be a Gunslinger (Fast/Gunslinger), and then join the "National Rifle Association" (a Modern PrC)?
In the Genetech supplement of the latest Polyhedron, they mention Fixer, Street Warrior, Swashbuckler, Bounty Hunter, Confidence Artist, Hacker and Thrasher as Advanced Classes and Celebrity, Mastermind, Sniper and Special Forces Operative as specific Prestige Classes that will be appearing in the Urban Arcana setting book. In the Genetech write-up, they detail Guerilla Intruder and Patrol Pointer PrCs.

Thanks,
