At the state fair they dip the bacon in batter after putting it on a stick and then they deep fry it.
On Hoth, they cover the AT-AT in bacon, and then set it loose on rebel scum.

Ah, but it's not a waste! The rebels are unable to resist it's divine bacon-y goodness, and then they are crushed beneath it's bacon-clad feet, or shot with it's bacon-draped blasters, while they stand there drooling, stupefied.

The only problem with this analogy is that people generally don't argue incessantly about adding bacon to their meals and whether bacon is the end of the world.

No, we don't argue about adding bacon to our meals, we argue about what to add to the bacon to make a meal...

To some people I think the discussion isn't whether or not adding bacon invalidates the eggs. The discussion is about whether or not you'll still like the sandwich if all eggs made at your favorite resteraunt are henceforth decreed to be over easy instead of scrambled.

And for others, the discussion is about whether or not you'll still like the sandwich if all eggs made at your favorite resteraunt have the option of being over easy instead of scrambled, and wonder why there's so much fuss about adding the option of going over easy.

Now, I understand that there may be concerns that the restaurant isn't going to improve on its existing recipie for scrambled eggs any more, but that doesn't stop scrambled eggs from being an option.

And on that note, I'm off to lunch.

What about Jewish or Muslim gamers who don't want bacon in their 4Ed breakfast? Or those for whom the 4Ed bacon would be unhealthy? Not to mention the hordes of doggies who would now want to play & eat the game, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CErapf79rqM"]despite not being able to read.[/ame]

OTOH...

Very true, but you have others still who are concerned about whether putting scrambled and over easy both onto the same sandwich leads to too many broken eggs.
