[QUOTE="Fenmarel, post: 2559571"] I stumbled across this one on one of my infrequent visits to the boards and thought I would add my two cents in. Neither OOC or IC ideas or plots should not be "stolen" from another "person". Anyone that has been around for more than a few months has seen this scenario played out over and over again. Something happens IC and folks get all bent out of shape over it OOC. I know one player that if a character so much as bad mouths one of his characters that player will start an OOC flame war and try to get as many people as he can to stop rping with the player of the offending character. Alot of folks that come here take the GAME way too seriously. Now some of those players use their characters and what happens to them as a basis for writing novels so I have heard. I'm not saying it is right for them to get upset over something that happened IC but I can see where they would be frustrated in certain circumstances such as the stealing of an idea that they worked hard to come up with. I can honestly say that in eight years of gaming on this site I have never became upset over IC actions. Now I have become so angry I could have chewed nails over the actions of some players. I have characters that literally hate other characters and would probably make deals with devils to see to their eternal suffering. Now that doesn't mean that I hate the players of said characters some used to be some of my best online friends. Those that know me know that there is only one player on this site that I hate with a passion and even with him I don't take IC actions OOC. The people that take this site and the actions of all these characters so seriously need to have professional help. Only a person with a warped sense of reality could let something so trivial turn into a flame war or a grudge match. Work out those problems in group and let the less crazy people have their fun.
