How large is a metropolis?

I'm sorry if I just overlooked it, but I just got my core rules book and in the magic items section it mentions different city sizes, but I don't know how many people go in those cities. I was just wondering if a person could either tell me how many people approximately live in each town size, or point me to the rule itself.

The "city" sizes listed are: Thorp, Hamlet, Village, Small Town, Large Town, Small City, Large City, and Metropolis.
