How Long Are Old Threads Kept and Where Are They Archived?

Is there a time limit on when old threads are deleted or moved from active forums to some kind of archive? And if so, what is the time limit and/or where are they archived?

Also, once archived, do they stay archived permanently, or are they also deleted from the archive after a longer period of time?

Threads remain on here indefinitely.

They stick around, but you have to look for them. Default forum only show a certain region of time.
