How long does Lent last?

But I didn't keep track of how long this lasts, or when it's done. It goes until Easter, right? That's April 20th? Oh my. I've seriously got cravings now.

I gave up Magic around the time Mirage came out, and I still have cravings. Same goes for Ultima Online, which I quit for good right around when UO3D came out. Nothing like knowing your weaknesses, I suppose.

Yep, its 40 days. I gave up sweets between meals, cut my soda (pop for some or down here in the south - coke) in take in half, and have been trying to cut down my obsession with MMORPGs.

The MMORPG thing has been easy enough, played AC2 for the first time in... weeks last night. Coke intake going down has been an adjustment... but the no between meal sweets thing is killing me. I never realized how much I like those cookies, granola bars (chewy chocolate kind) etc. But on the plus side, my fruit intake has sky rocketed and I'm a bit healthier for it all now.

I gave up caffeine a couple of years ago for lent. After lent, I kind of kept it up, and now I'm 99% caffeine free. Drinking more than half a coca-cola now gives me a caffeine headache!

Anyways, I gave up fast food for lunch this year. Maybe that one will stick around after lent, too.
