G'day

In view of the danger that this thread might survive past the anniversaries of some respondent's first RP gaming experience, I have decided to ask "In what year did you first play an RPG".

1980 f'r me.

Cheers, Al'Kelhar

PS Shouldn't this be a poll, perhaps with 3-year brackets from the late 1970s, and a "before 1976" (or whatever year is before the D&D blue books came out)?

Unfortanetly I cannot say I have been playing RPG's for as long as most everyone here... but here is a break down

I was born 1982
console RPG's (Nintendo, etc) - 1988 (my aunt was a big video game player)
computer RPG's - 1991
table-top RPG's - 1992

and that is how it goes

Started either summer of 81 or 82, but didn't get the red box set and really start to understand it all till Christmas of 82.

Summer of 1980 here! I remember getting invited to fill in a spot playing OD&D during lunch breaks. Played that for a while then I remember getting the D&D Basic Set for Christmas...

'nuff said.

A'koss.
