I have been a DM and Player for 25 years now. When I first found the game my friends and I would take turns running the game. There have been some real stinkers and some real gems. But over all people say that I am a very good DM.

I think your scale shouldn't have stopped at 15.

24 years, here, and I've gone through everything from straight-faced dungeon crawl in my pre-teens to highly interactive story-play.

Am I a good DM? Some people say I am, and compared to many of the other DM's here, I'm "decent" to their "awesome."

Not consistently, but I've been GMing at some point or other pretty much since I've been gaming, so somewhere around 20-25 years, I guess. I think I'm a decent GM, but I've come to recognize some of my limitations, too. I'm not the kind of GM who can make a great game out of any system or any setting. It has to be one that I really connect with on some level.

That may be why I prefer to homebrew.

Of course, back then you had to carve your own dice out of bone, right?

And you had to travel to Gen-con by foot, Uphill (both ways), in 6 feet of snow. (Seeing as how we're talking Wisconsin here, that snow bits not really a joke).
