To all who are currently playing PC's in one or more campaigns, how long have you been playing your character? For those playing in multiple campaigns, assume the question applies to your oldest character. Anyone playing PC's that have hung on since Basic or 1st Edition? What level are they?

I'm not playing him in a campaign right now, but I still consider him to be an active character...

30th level first edition thief...

I haven't actually...but that's a pretty good project. God though...what level would I make him?

Anyone? Cause I'm thinking it would have taken me a LOT longer in 1st to get to 30th then it would have in 3rd.

Of course, there is no way to account for all of the feats and such. Sounds like a good project...I think I'll do that.

Main tabletop campaign: been playing this character for 9 days (1 session).

Had a TPK the week before that (13th level characters built up from level 1); this time we started at 5th level.

I have my good ol' Necromancer from 2E. He converted to 3E and multiclassed cleric and True Necromancer. He's currently level 25 and still puttering around the Realms, looking for things to kill and raise. I've been playing him since sixth grade ... so he's almost 6 yrs old now :P

Original D&D (1974) 10th lvl Lawful dwarf

he's been around since 1979. he went thru a conversion to 1edADnD and then to 2edADnD. i haven't converted him to this edition.

he died once in 1986. tried the original Ravenloft.

My bard has been around Ravenloft for about a couple of months now, and he has never been in real danger. Not that the danger lacked, but I just have very good protections, a variety of escape means, and a bunch of fellows that run slower than me. On top of that, I've managed to pacify the region (+16 in Diplomacy rocks!) and seduce a nymph.

I feel that the Dark Powers are treating me far too well. There's got to be something coming. :(

Lost a wizard just a bit ago, so that bumps me into the first category with just 1/2 the XP that the wizard had. Yeah, ouch. Hence my catch phrase for my new bard is "Nobody die!"; see below too.

My current PC has been around since the 2e complete Fighter's handbook came out, he was myrmidon kit with two weapon fighting style, eventually learned 1e OA martial arts, and switched class to mage. This translated into 3e as ranger/monk/wizard. He has made it into multiple campaigns (even more than one gaming system) and started again in 3e after being summoned by a botched ritual loosing lots of items and then being energy drained back to seventh level. He is now up to tenth level but I expect him to level tonight.

Oh and zappo, in his first game, he got seduced by a nymph he rescued.
