I assumed that this is not for Friday or Saturday nights.
I would prefer mid week, starting at 7 or 8.
I would also prefer a 4 hour game over a 3 hour.
The ideal would be 7 to 11 pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

This assumes online or a short drive from work.

When we did play online, it was 21-24 in theory. In practice, it would start around 21:15 and by 22:30-23, everyone would be half zoned out. At most we managed to stretch it to 23:30 couple of time, but those last half hour were very unproductive. Anything before 21 is no go ( family obligations).

I always find anything earlier than 7PM to be too early. People have jobs, commutes, kids, and other errands to run after work. This is assuming the group primarily works 9-5 (or something like that).

We've been running a two hour weekly game on Wednesdays ~6pm (has changed a few times between 5p and 7p, depending upon player's time zone) For about 7 years now.

Gotta remember, online means the players could be 12 hours off of your time. So, set a time that works for you and then find the players who can commit to it.
