D&D 5E How many 5e D&D sessions have you participated in?

Just short of 200, but if you include the playtest I'd be about 250.

I'm running two campaigns (one just had session #44, the other just had session #11), and playing in a third, all every-other-week; and there have been a few short things. Probably comes to about 100.

We try to play every week, but that turns out to about half if you look at a whole year of playing. We have been doing this very consistently for the last 15 years or so, plus lots of random play before that. Pretty sure I have well over 600. I have been playing D&D since '77, but it's hard to estimate amount of play before we were doing the weekly thing.

I have DM 217 sessions. I don't track my play sessions.

I've only managed that level of sustained play in high school. Congrats!

I've set things up in such a way that it's nearly impossible to have to cancel a weekly session, which comprises the bulk of the sessions I've played since D&D 5e launch. Most other groups I know struggle with scheduling and they miss weeks, sometimes longer, as a result.

Because I'm curious about how much mileage people have had with 5e.

Also, I would be unable to tally how many rpg games I participated in since 1981. I can recall the players but how many sessions would just be a rought estimate. ;-)

Oof. Let's see....I'm in 3 different gaming groups. For one of them, I'm a DM and for the other two, I'm a player. We use Google Docs to post our write-ups, recaps, and XP...so I have exact numbers for most of our gaming sessions (but not our one-shot games).

My wife's current campaign has had 22 gaming sessions, and the one prior to that we managed 13. She also did a handful of one-off games and test runs before kicking off the whole thing properly, so I'm gonna say 38-40 for that group.

The second group has been playing regularly in two different campaigns for about 4 years now. We had 44 gaming sessions in the previous campaign, and we are 26 gaming sessions into "Storm King's Thunder" right now. We've had a handful of one-offs as well, on nights where our DM was out of town and someone stepped up with a quick side adventure. So I'd say 70-75 games for that group.

The third and newest group, in which I'm the DM, has had 4 test games and one-shots, followed by the official kickoff and 12 gaming sessions, for a total of 16.

All told, it looks like I've played 124-131 games under the 5th Edition rules. Not too shabby!
