How many settings do you own (vs how many you actually use)?

I have for 3E:

Greyhawk
Forgotten Realms
Ravenloft
Oriental Adventures (just the one book)

and really that is it.

I have a few Scarred lands books, but more as reference material

I have never run a game, strictly speaking, in any published world EXCEPT Ravenloft, and that was in 2E (I haven't had the chance to run 3E Ravenloft yet, but I do LOVE Ravenloft)

So for me, it is all about reference materials - to get inspirations and little crunchy bits I can "steal" and integrate into my game world.

I have thought about getting Dragonlance, but haven't (for 3E, that is).

I like to build my own world from scratch - but I freely mix in things that might have come from other settings if they seem appropriate. Of course, the names will probably be changed to protect the innocent.

One exception, again, would be Ravenloft - I would run that entirely in the Ravenloft setting - I just love that. (Did I say that already??)

I own Greyhawk and Arcana Unearthed. I run Greyhawk. I haven't had an opportunity to run AU yet.

I'll probably buy the new Blackmoor book when it comes out.

Nyambe

I noticed several people mentioned they owned Nyambe, but has anyone actually run a campaign? I'm fascinated by the setting, but I don't feel that I have a clear enough grasp of it to write my own adventures. I have the module, and am eagerly awaiting more. Maybe I'll run a "shop game" set there. My main group won't play it because at least two of my four players won't learn a whole new set of rules/races/vocabulary.

I'll tell you which one I won't be buying, Eberron.

Why?

Just a personal protest due to 3.5 messing up my entire collection of d20 books that I spent a lot of cash on.

I suggest the rest of you who feel like me let your voices be heard at the cash register as well.

Buy Arcana Unearthed to play in the world of the Diamond Throne instead since Monte Cook spoke up publicly against the 3.5 fiasco. He seems to truly understand how us gamers who invested a lot of time and money into 3.0 feel about it.
That makes no sense. Eberron doesn't have anything to do with 3.5.

Not only that, with the exception of the IK setting book, if it ever actually comes out, and possibly the Dawnforge book, Eberron is the only setting that I have definate plans to pick up on the horizon right now. I'd pick up a Knights of the Old Republic setting book in a heartbeat, though.

Also, I've added all the Diamond Throne books so far in print to my list since I originally posted months and months ago (what's with all these ancient threads being resurrected anyway?)

Limiting ourselves to d20 settings or settings you currently use of course...

I've got the Greyhawk gazetteer (the first little one, not the LG) and Diamond Throne. The latter I bought for the crunchy bits to stick into my own AU game so I don't use very much of the setting stuff. The former I no longer use as a setting, but I like to read through it and my 1st edition Greyhawk stuff for inspiration. I'm a home-brew kinda DM nowadays.

Hmm, I've also got a current side-project where I'm building kind of a mini-setting in which to place the Adventure Path modules, I dunno if that counts ;) .

Let's see...lord, this is going to be embarrasing.

Just d20. That's some small solace, at least. Working from memory, so there will doubtlessly be some omissions. At least that saves me further embarrasment, in that I can't list how much of each I own.

Own:
Greyhawk
Scarred Lands
EverQuest
Codex of Erde
Diomin
Arcanis
Freeport
Kalamar
Forgotten Realms
Young Kingdoms (Elric d20)
Oathbound
Midnight
Swashbuckling Adventures/Theah
Iron Kingdoms
Wheel of Time
Star Wars
Spycraft
Testament
Skull and Bones
Mutants & Masterminds (both the Freedom City and META-4 stuff)
Rokugan
Oriental Adventures
Call of Cthulhu
Godlike (sort of, since there is a d20 conversion in the back)
Does the Banewarrens count as a setting book?

Use:
Nothing, nada, zip, nil. I don't have a d20 game going at the moment and I'm not certain when/if I will in the immediate future.

what's with all these ancient threads being resurrected anyway?
Yeah, that's been wierd.

I responded to Krug's "What did you do with your 3.0 books' thread and then realized I had already responded to it a several months ago. FUnny, my answer had changed a bit.

I'd pick up a Knights of the Old Republic setting book in a heartbeat, though.

What would that be?

No one here actually has Morningstar? Ouch. I'll have to work a lot harder.
Well, as mentioned above, this thread was starged a looooong time ago, before Morningstar was released I'm pretty sure. So it's not that significant.

Unfortunately, I don't have it.

Also unfortunately, whith all the settings that have come out in the last few months or are out shortly, I fear there may just be too many. I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with settings I'm already 'subscribing to' (like Scarred Lands or Kalamar) to commit to many more.
