......would you pay for the Dragon Mag 250 Issue CD?

Or have you paid recently if you've picked one up?

Is it worth 50+ USD and if so , why?

i paid 39.99 for it plus shipping.

it was worth it. only in that i didn't have to have all of my Dragons around. and also b/c my faulty memory can use the search help on the CDs.

it also has 7 issues of The Strategic Review.

I have it and like it. I would say it is worth $50. Like Pogre said, they tend to fetch a lot of money on EBay...

I second that complaint wholeheartedly. As you say, though, it's still very much worth having.

I third the complaint. It was disappointing, since the first few annuals had some very good material.

Beyond that, I thought the Archive was excellent, despite a few scan problems (which mostly resulted in a lost word or two where they happened). As to being worth $50...I suppose so, but not too much more than that. Unless you're running a 1E or 2E campaign, it's mostly for nostalgia and reference only.

Well, the CD set I was bidding on finally went for around $90 USD + shipping from the U.K. Too pricey for me. Based on the responses I got I think I'll set my upper limit at around $50-60. Thanks for the input!

It's good stuff. A lot of the material is useful for any game system. If you played various other games, when it had the Ares section, you could get support for Marvel Super Heroes, Gamma World, and other settings.
