I starting a campaign
AD&D 4e(house ruled)
within the next six months and intend to start the character at level 2.
The reason for starting them at level 2 is that the level 1 will be a set of linked encounters that will introduce each character and meld in some story details.
because these are story based encounters they wont be able to exeed 2nd level with experince.
there are 10 characters involved in the process.
3x3 player generated characters and 1 "spare" NPC.
The player will get to keep 2 characters each. I will get to keep 3 for story based antics.
The sequence of events are
1)character background.
2)important story hook
3-15) an alteration of combat encounters and storys linking these encounters.
Each encounter has a "Prime" character, the player controlling that character will be the main person building the linking story.(iothers will suggest and i'll ajudicate)
this will culmulate in the party "getting together" as one.
Each encounter will be focases around a certain character, allowing that character to shine.
Its these that I would like suggestions on.
Please read all posts 3 post before replying.
Because these are "intro" encounters I dont want to risk killing characters, unless there is a "KILLED??" next to them, as i'm happy for it to appear that they die to the players.
