Okay, so its easy to Awaken animals and trees, and between an issue of Dragon a while back and Savage Species, there are now spells (admittedly 3E and not 3.5E, but close enough) to Awaken oozes, constructs, magical beasts, and non-sentient undead. However, I have yet to see anything to Awaken vermin.
This seems like a rather obvious gaping hole here. Is it that hard to envision druids and rangers who focus on the natural order that is bugs and insects, as opposed to fluffy bunnies and trees? *ahem* Ranting aside, has anyone seen an Awaken Vermin spell, or thereabouts? I'm hoping there's a WotC source (website, book, or magazines), but I'll take what people can find.
