I think I know which adventure you play. Isn't there a dead magic zone after the pit ?

@ isoChron- yes it is a downloaded adventure and your right on the money about the antimagic field. The vampire should give them a very tough time.
I will be changing the name I go by now just in case my group starts going to these boards
The group is 7th level a fighter has the weapon in question. there is also a 2nd lvl thief/5th lvl wizard halfling, human 1st lvl monk/6th lvl wizard and finally a human 2nd lvl fighter/5th lvl cleric.
