how to shrink a minotaur

Thanks for all the input. I should've provided more info in the original post: this is to shrink a PC minotaur to enable him to occasionally fit into smaller spaces, ride a horse, etc. And he's a barbarian with no UMD ranks.

Something like the ring of shrinking from Savage Species would be ideal, but that was based on the 3.0 reduce spell (which wasn't limited to humanoids) and I haven't found the equivalent in 3.5.

It's a clever solution, but I suspect it wouldn't fly with a lot of DMs. Or at least not more than once or twice, just long enough for the curse monkeys to catch on.

One of the explicit uses for Bestow Curse in the Book of Vile Darkness is to age someone... which works out just fine for Dragons and mages who are going to become undead.
