How to subscribe to a thread and get it to show on Notification bar up top?

I recently tried subscribing to a thread, but afterwards I didn't see any benefit to doing so because I still had to go to a page somewhere in Settings to track down My Subscriptions and then find the thread. I guess for threads someone wants to archive that makes sense.

But is there any way to subscribe to a thread and have it appear in my Notifications? In the same way that, say, someone replying to one my threads or quoting me would appear as a red icon or something under Notifications in the bar to the top right?

Or is that just not possible?

As far as I know, you cannot make a subscription appear in Notifications, but you can make it send you an e-mail or ENWorld/Tapatalk app message when somebody posts on the thread.
