How to write forum code in posts

This is a neat trick for moderators, administrators and other helpful tech-guys in this forum.

A common answer to questions in this forum is

you put the text inside [.spoiler] like this [/spoiler.] without the dots

or even

you put the text inside {spoiler} like this {/spoiler}. replace { and } with [ and ]

This can be confusing. You can however write forum code without the use of dots or {, and the answer will be much easier to read.

Example:

you put the text inside [spoiler] like this [/spoiler].

The sneaky trick is to write [b][/b] somewhere in the tag, like this:

[[b][/b]spoiler] like this [/spoiler]
