How would you feel about a setting where humans are the only racial option?

I would play, and have- remember Lankhmar? As others have said, if done well, it should be as fun to play as any other fantasy campaign.




...although I must confess that it does still feel a little weird in D&D. But that doesn't last long.

Is the concept of a variety of Tolkien-esque races so ingrained into the core assumptions of the game that it's a deal-breaker for you? Would you play in a humans-only setting? Why or why not?

Would I play it? Sure. My policy is that I'll play anything one of my friends is willing to run for the group, time permitting.

Would I buy it? No. Not because of any problem with there not being non-human races, but simply because I'm not in the market for a new setting.
