How would you like the Monsterous Manual organized

Just a random thought occured to me while I was listening to the Monsters podcast. When they started doing the random encounters they flipped to their X'level list I started thinking that it might be handy to have monsters organized by level rather than alphabetically. It would make life a lot easier praticularly if you were trying to throw an encounter together quickly.

It sort of makes sense, but it makes for a lot of problems. Instead of having one entry about goblins with a lot of different statblocks, you end up with goblins being scattered over the first third of the book with no consolidated entry.

Cheers!

Awesome indices in the front (or back, I guess) arranged by level, environment, etc.

The entries themselves alphabetically.

Yep. That.

I like having voluminous indexes at the back of the monster books. Those were really good for improvising.

No stat blocks broken up over two pages, unless those two pages are facing each other.

If at all possible, I'd like all the information for each monster presented in it's own section. One page or multiple pages, if necessary, but no information for more than one monster per page, unless they are somehow related, such as a mass of vermin or animal stats.

Kind of like the one or two page-per-monster style 2e had.

In the 2e PHB, Wizard and Priest spells are organized according to level rather than alphabetically. This proved an irritation to me at times. I'm grateful the 3e PHB organizes spells alphabetically. Same with the 3e MM. I prefer alphabetic organization over level-based organization.
