How would you make your favorite characters in d20/D&D?

I was reading the other night and it occurred to me that one could make a fairly decent Psylocke with the SoulKnife class... *maybe* a couple of levels of monk too... And I guess Professor Xavier would be a fairly high level Telepath Psion... I know a a year or two ago I tried to make Wolvie... I mixed a little rogue, fighter, ranger, and monk... but was never really satisfied at getting the right mixture. (Sorry for all the examples so far being Marvel - I've only done the comic thing a few years and was infected by a Marvel person, and I inherited her bias)

On a non-comic note I threw together a character one time just for the heck of it... A human ranger (first favored enemy:"Nazis"), Profession(Archaeologist), EWP/WF with Whip and "Pistol"...

I'd love to see how others have done something similar with their favorite characters from film/books/comics/etc.

I have the Forgotten Realms equivilent of the Authority (from the comics series of the same name; basically a team of very powerful take-no-prisoners superheroes who spend as much time partying as fighting) in case I'm ever running an epic level game and really need to smack the party around. Different names, but similar characters; I'm particularly proud of The Mechanic (Priest of Gond 20 / Gnome Artificer 10 / Techsmith of Gond 10).
