How would you stat Primus (Cybertron)?

Cybertron does transform into Primus, in the latest Transformers series - Transformers: Cybertron (Transforrmers: Galaxy Force in Japan). You can watch them online at www.transformers.com

At any rate, does anyone know where Transformer d20 stats can be found? Or what would be the best way to simulate them? Mecha sounds like a good idea, but which set of mecha rules? d20 Modern? d20 Anime? Or should Transformers just each be unique constructs?

Sidetrack: Has anyone updated Modron stats to 3.5?

Mechamorphosis is a D20 book that handles sentient mecha ala Transformers, though not by name. The faux-Autobots are the Exiles, and the faux-Decepticons are the Tyrants, IIRC. I haven't had the chance to pick up the book yet myself due to my local game store not carrying much of a selection, and due to me having to waste my money on college tuition without any extra spending money lately.

Primus, as Cybertron, would have something like 400 trillion hit points though, since I figure it's some metal at least as tough as D&D adamantine. He'd squish any pathetic extraplanar-traveling epic wizard stupid enough to think his pathetic epic spells stood any chance of destroying an animated planet-robot composed entirely of advanced metal alloys. Or, y'know, probably just get close enough that the massive gravity of such a huge, dense metallic mass like that would cause the mage to be dragged suddenly and supersonically crashing to the surface like a bug on a spaceshuttle's windshield (blacking out instantly anyway long before he could focus on casting a feather fall spell). Stupid mage, meet physics, not native to your silly magical homeplane. Gravity says hi.

Hi all! :)

Interesting question.

I probably don't know enough about the Transformers themselves to give an accurate assessment. However, I have seen many people compare the likes of Unicron to Ego from the Marvel Universe. So that suggests they are slightly above Greater Deities in terms of power. So you want them to be probably Elder Ones (Divine Rank 24), which will give them a CR of, on average, 175 or thereabouts.

Although I created size rules which allow for creatures of Universe size (in the IH - Epic Bestiary), I generally don't advocate using lots of Hit Dice if you can avoid it.

For instance in the Immortals Handbook: Ascension I have stats for Algol (The Demon Star), which is partly inspired by Lovecraft's Azathoth. Algol (an Old One: Divine Rank 32) only has 201 Hit Dice, and the creature itself is only 200 feet in diamater. However, its Divine Aura (which manifests as partly fire) radiates out to 50,000 miles, so it does look like a Star.

I'd probably suggest doing sentient planets in a similar way. The core nucleus could be, say 150 Hit Dice. However, its divine aura will extend to 4000 mile radius (or whatever). Within this radius the creature can manipulate the reality of its surroundings. So Cybertron may technically be planetary sized, but to injure it you would have to attack the nucleus which may only be 'Godzilla' sized.

You could say that the laws of reality* break down when monsters get to a certain amount of Hit Dice. ;)

*or is that d20.

For some reason I thought it ignored ALL hardness.

No, according to the SRD, adamantium only ignores hardness up to 20. since hardness is done by the inch, and the biggest hammer i can find is a maul (d10) we're looking at needing a perminant +10 str bonus or higher to dig more than 4 inches at a blow (if he's made out of hardness 5 iron, which I doubt)

It would take months of hitting away to reach his core (and him) moving in 5' increments for the 3959 miles downward, plus the GM would have to take the size of the hammer into account... THe GM would, of course, make sure the player in question rolled each and every single one of those checks...
