Here is my random 3.5 reluctance thought from the weekend. Tell me what you think of it.
You take the monk class, strip away all abilities they gain as they advance (save for fast movement, AC bonus, WIS bonus to AC, and their Unarmed Strike damage advancement) and replace all those powers with clerical spell casting equal to half their level (i.e. an 8th level monk would have the spells of a 4th level cleric).
What do you think?
